2019 Germantown Charity Horse Show nets more than $50,000 for Kindred Place

Kindred Place, a nonprofit agency that provides trauma-focused therapy and classes to support family relationships, announced the Germantown Charity Horse Show, one of the largest all-breed horse shows in the country, donated $30,000 in support of Kindred Place. An additional $23,314 was raised by staff and volunteers through program ads and other contributions.

“We could not be more grateful for the Germantown Charity Horse Show,” said Jennifer Balink, executive director at Kindred Place. “In addition to the generous financial contribution, we have forged a true partnership to put a spotlight on the importance of healthy family relationships, in every home, in every neighborhood, all across our community.”

The Germantown Charity Horse Show has been a partner of Kindred Place, formerly the Exchange Club Family Center, for 20 years. More than $700,000 has been raised to help end family violence by improving family functioning.

“We have had the incredible honor of making Kindred Place our official charity since 1999,” said Ross Herrin, vice president of the Germantown Charity Horse Show and board member at Kindred Place. “Having a happy and healthy family means everything to us, our spectators and participants, and it is the reason why we hold this show and donate to this amazing organization every year.”
